Room testing video #2

ENGLISH

-> Game OST updated (Ancient majesty)!

What is this? Another update so soon? Well, since the feedback rate is in tatters, is my turn to show up with something to catch your attention! I don't want to show too much here (it's better to discover everything when playing the game) but a little bit of info, some video, music and a sketch won't hurt.
Some days ago I posted on the chatboard a screen cap showing an entire room of the game. Some dude said the lights were too rough, and then I noticed it was because the static picture didn't show the light fading effect. So I recorded a video you can watch here (but I recommend watching it in Youtube, 720 p. and all)

The room showed it's a stage from a level called the "Spirit Nexus Temple", a place I'll talk about in further posts. The music in the video is the "Ancient majesty" theme from the game O.S.T., and as always you can listen to it right into the "Game O.S.T." section, below the chatboard (Internet Explorer users may not be able to see it. Use Firefox, dudes).

Before leaving, here's a little sketch of a strange character... who might she be?

I'll be updating this blog more often so keep coming for new info about this game!
See you later!

Basic gameplay explained

ENGLISH

-> Game OST updated (Windhill)!
-> Featured fan art updated (Hibari by Sig)!

Welcome one more time to the Spirit Huntress Development Blog. Today I'll show you the basic game play formula, regarding some of the Hibari's basic skills and movements. Each one will be explained and accompanied with pictures, so take a look and enjoy (meanwhile you can listen to the last game O.S.T theme I just uploaded, right under the chatbox).

Walking: Press the Left and Right keys to walk in the desired direction. No further explanation is required here.
Running: Press quickly the direction keys twice to run and move faster in the chosen direction. Running allows you to pass through unestable ground, and intertia will cause you to jump farther. Usefull, isn't it?
Crouching: Use the down direction key to crouch so you can pass through tunnels and place with low ceilings. Of course, you can crouch-walk pressing the convenient directional keys. This may also be usefull to evade attacks and dangers.
Jumping: You can jump a certaing height (which can be increased through the game flow) by pressing the "S" key. Use the direction keys to move in the air; and jump while running for an extra-long jump.
Jump-Crouch: You can crouch in the middle of a jump to shorten yourself and pass through narrow windows, holes, etc. Jumping in this form gives you some extra-force to break through, e.g., glass windows.
Double Jump: Pressing "S" while jumping will cause you to execute a double jump (spinning in the air) allowing you to reach higher places and correct the course of a jump among other things.
Wall Jump: Press "S" and the directional key pointing to the wall you want to bounce against to make a wall jump. You can chain as many wall jumps as you want, and each wall jump allow you to perform an extra Double Jump. Sweet! There won't be too many places you can not reach once you learn this skill... or maybe not.
Edge Climbing: When near to a platform edge, press the "Up" key to grab that edge. When hanging from there, press "Up" again to climb up to the platform; "Down" to let you down, or "S" to jump from there. This could save your life, so remember you have to press the "Up" key!
Using adquired Items: You'll find troughout the game many items and equipment you can use to overcome obstacles and defeat enemys. This for example is some kind of "Grappling Hook". Stay tunned for upcoming posts to learn about some of these items.
Lifting objects: Press "Enter" or "Space" near an object to lift it up. If it is light enough, you can carry it with your self. Press "Enter" or "Space" again to let it down on it's place, or press those keys while moving to throw the object away! The weight affects the pitching distance. Hopefully you'll hit an enemy! Also, most objects you can throw will break down.
Fighting: Not much to say here since battle issues will be explained in upcoming posts. However that's a pretty cool shot of Hibari swinging her dagger right there, isn't it? At least, I can tell you that the key used for the main weapon is the "A" key (A is for Attack!), and that you will be able to chain different kinds of combos when fighting foes.

So well, there you have a little bit of info to read. I suppose it's not enough after so much time without news, but well, I've been busy with so many things you know :P. Be sure to keep an eye to the awesome artwork by "Sig" I just putted right into the "Featured Fan Art" section. Also, as I said before, you can now listen to a new game O.S.T. theme: "Windhill". Altought that song isn't 100% finished (it needs some fixes and some notes are very bad) it's almost done and I'd love to have some feedback about it.

Feel free to comment about anything, and stay tunned for upcoming posts! Bye!

ESPAÑOL

¡Buenas, camaradas!
